Ministry of Health Releases Vaccination Dashboard Update, Public Can Monitor Vaccine Stocks in Real Time

The Ministry of Health has updated the websitevaccine.kemkes.go.id. The menu, which initially only contained vaccine status and the COVID-19 situation, has now been added to a vaccine stock menu, to increase transparency and control of vaccine stocks both at the provincial and district/city levels in real-time.

"Currently the Ministry of Health's vaccine dashboard has been updated, so that it is easier for users to monitor estimated vaccine stock availability and update data on the number of vaccines by region with the smallest unit being district/city," said Siti Nadia Tarmizi, Spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination at the Indonesian Ministry of Health. press statement on YouTube Ministry of Health on Thursday (19/8).

In the new menu, the Ministry of Health provides a visualization in the form of a map where each region has a different color to speed up and make it easier to classify vaccine availability updates in the regions. The blue color indicates an estimated vaccine stock that is safe for more than 14 days, the green color indicates that the vaccine stock is sufficient for 10-14 days, the yellow color is sufficient for 7-10 days, and the red color is less than 7 days.

Nadia's spokesperson detailed that the data presented on the vaccination dashboard comes from the results of recording and reporting vaccines and the logistics of carrying out COVID-19 vaccinations using an electronic logistics monitoring system, namely Bio Tracking and SMILE (Electronic Immunization and Logistics Monitoring System).

SMILE is a platform that contains real-time data regarding the cold chain of vaccine distribution which includes the quantity, batch number and expiration date of vaccines received from distributors at each level and storage locations starting from the provincial level to the Puskesmas.

This record is to ensure central and regional vaccine stocks are the same as well as a form of transparency in the management of the COVID-19 vaccine, so it is important for officers responsible for vaccine logistics to update receipts, as well as incoming and outgoing vaccines at their respective facilities, using a mobile phone .

Furthermore, records made through SMILE will be reported back in real-time to the One Data Vaccination Information System for COVID-19, to then be displayed on the vaccination dashboard and will be updated regularly once a day at 17.00 WIB.

Given the importance of this data, Spokesperson Nadia encourages regional governments and provincial and district/city health offices to use the SMILE platform to regularly update the availability of vaccine stocks in their areas. So that this data can be used as a basis for the government to determine the allocation of vaccines to the area.

"We urge that data input by FASKES be carried out routinely and completely so that estimates of vaccine dose stocks in the field and estimates of the remaining days of vaccine stock availability are monitored in real time," said spokesperson Nadia.

This is important considering that the speed and timeliness of vaccine distribution to regions supported by cooperation and collaboration from all elements of the nation will greatly determine the target of national vaccination coverage.

For information, so far the total number of vaccines that have come to Indonesia is around 190 million doses, both in bulk (raw material) and finished vaccines. Today, it is planned that as many as 2.5 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will return to Indonesia.

Meanwhile, of the total available vaccines, around 84.5 million doses of vaccine have been injected, of which 54.9 million are the first dose; 29.5 million second doses and 321 thousand third doses (boosters) for health workers.
